The South East Wales Rivers Trust was established to protect and improve the rivers of the South Wales Valleys. The Trust was formed in 2007 and became a registered charity in 2010.
Our work will bring lasting benefits to the wildlife and communities of South East Wales by:-
- Restoring and improving the riparian and aquatic habitats;
- Protecting and conserving the plants and animals that live in and around the rivers;
- Providing environmental education and awareness.
We work with other bodies to achieve our goals, including fishing clubs, wildlife groups, conservation volunteers and Natural Resources Wales. We are members of Afonydd Cymru, the umbrella organisation for rivers trusts in Wales.
